Nanning Plans To Expand To 10 Five-Star Hotels

Nanning Tourism Bureau said that the city will expand to ten five-star hotels over the next three years.
Jia Yucheng, director of the Nanning Tourism Bureau, disclosed that by September 30, 2007, Nanning attained a total of RMB8.45 trillion in tourism revenue, of which domestic tourism revenue accounted for RMB8.24 trillion with year-on-year growth of 17.41%. And Nanning welcomed 15,250,100 visitor arrivals, of which visitors from mainland were 15,153,500, an increase of 11.73% over the same period in 2006. Meanwhile foreign arrivals to Nanning increased 24.71% to 96,620.
According to local media reports, the Nanning government plans to integrate local tour resources, develop scenic spots, expand travel routes so that the city can strengthen its competitive ability in the tourism industry. The city will also cooperate with domestic and international hotel management companies to improve the service level in hotel industry.
