Zengcheng City Plans To Add 32 Hotels

Zengcheng City plans to build 32 hotels at least in the four-star level and expects to be a mature meeting and leisure resort base within 10 years.

In a recent investment promotion conference, Zengcheng delivered about 3,000,000 square meters of ground for building 16 hotels of four-star or above levels, which will be located in such areas as Licheng, Shitan, Zhengguo, Xiaolou and Paitan. According to local media, there were another 16 high-end hotels under construction or in the pipeline before this investment promotion conference.

Zengcheng reportedly welcomed two million tourist arrivals and reached total RMB528 million tourism revenue in 2006. The city is located at the northeast area of the Pearl River Delta and east of Guangzhou, near Dongguan and Huizhou.
