First Deluxe Hotel Comes To Jiangjin

The Fuqiao Group plans to build the first five-star standard hotel in Jiangjin City.
The founder of Fuqiao Group, Guo Jiafu, brought the RMB380 million investment back to his hometown Jiangjin for a five-star standard hotel's construction. The new hotel will carry the brand of Fuqiao and will be built as a 39-story building with swimming pool and leisure club. Guo said that this hotel is scheduled to be opened in 2009, and will be an iconic building in Jiangjin by that time.
The Chongqing Tourism Bureau said that there are eight five-star hotels and another five ready to be qualified by 2008. They expect Chongqing will have 88 five-star hotels by 2020.
As one of nine regional central cities of Chongqing, Jiangjin has rich tourism resources and is a market with great potential for tourism development. Located at the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and in Three Gorges area, the city is an important economy gateway to the southwest of China.
