Air Asia To Open New Route To Guangzhou

Air Asia will open twice daily flights from Malaysia to Guangzhou in 2008.

Chen Kailin, executive vice president of the business department of Air Asia, said that this new service will start on January 16, 2008. Adapting to the Lunar New Year's arrival, overseas Chinese can come back to mmainland China via this new route.

Air Asia currently has 86 routes and its no-frills service has obtained wide recognition in the China market. The company will focus on development in China and plans to open routes to Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Guilin, and Hainan. Among them, the flights to Hangzhou and Hong Kong are expected to be launched in January 2008 and March 2008, respectively.

The air tickets for the new flights from Malaysia to Guangzhou are now open and available for travelers to purchase.
