The China National Tourism Administration said that they will give some support to Tibet in six areas to further spur its tourism development.

First, CNTA will organize experts from around the country to investigate the current status of Tibet's tourism industry and give their professional suggestions about its development. Second, CNTA will invest RMB40 million taken from the national tourism development fund, of which RMB10 million will be used for the renovation of toilets in Tibet's major scenic spots. Third, they will help Tibet to enhance its attraction for foreign investment.

Next, to enlarge the number of well-trained tour guides assigned to Tibet, besides 80 guides of less-popular languages from Zhejiang University and Sichuan University each year, Nankai University and Beijing International Studies University will also train some tour guides for Tibet to expand the number of supporting guides to 200. Fifth, to continue providing senior management talents in the tourism industry for Tibet, they will set up special training bases in Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta areas to strengthen Tibet's talent troops. Finally, CNTA will not only increase the promotion of Tibet's tourism market around the world but also actively organize international tourism sellers to visit Tibet.

CNTA plans to push the tourism sector to be Tibet's leading industry through these supporting measures.
