Foshan To Build 10 Five-Star Hotels

Foshan plans to build about 10 five-star hotels during the 11th Five Year Period.
According to local media reports, there will be one or two five-star business hotels in Chancheng District; two or three five-star business hotels and deluxe theme resorts in Nanhai and Shunde District, respectively; one or two five-star resort hotels in Sanshui and Gaoming District as associated facilities of some larger tourism spots or resort area projects.
The Guangdong Tourism Bureau unveiled that five star-grade hotels in Foshan have had their qualifications revoked in 2007. Guangdong also had 63 four-star or lower level hotels lose their qualifications through the entire year of 2007.
Meanwhile, another four hotels in Foshan has been recommended for four-star or five-star qualifications.
