InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the re-branding of the Lake Malaren Golf Resort into Crowne Plaza Lake Malaren Shanghai, the first international 5-star hotel in Shanghai's Baoshan area.

Crowne Plaza Lake Malaren Shanghai is located in Luodian New Town in Baoshan Industry District, a fast developing northern suburb of bustling Shanghai. It is directly between two 18-hole PGA golf courses, natural ecological living environment and Nordic style villas. The hotel is 35 km away from Shanghai's city center with easy accessible from Pudong International Airport and the Hongqiao International Airport. The hotel provides complete meeting and banquet facilities, including six meeting rooms and two ballrooms that cater from 150 to 650 guests.

The Lake Malaren International Convention Centre, located in the same area and 1.5 kilometers away Crowne Plaza Lake Malaren Shanghai, is also managed by IHG. It features four auditoriums with various seating capacity from 200 to 600, a theater accommodating up to 160, a 1000-square-mater exhibition hall, 21 meeting rooms in different layout, two multi-function halls and "The Centro" Meeting Room.
