Crowne Plaza Lake Malaren Shanghai Gains New Executives

Two new executives have joined the managment team at the newly opened Crowne Plaza Lake Malaren Shanghai.
Otto Kurzendorfer has been appointed opening general manager. Kurzendorfer is a native German with 18 years experience in the hotel industry. His previous work experience includes global hotspots such as Dubai, Qatar, London, Munich and several other international city hubs. This is his first general manager position in China, and he previously managed the Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Center in Qatar as deputy general manager.
Damian Chua has been appointed director of sales and marketing. A native Malaysian, Damian brings more than 15 years of intensive professional hospitality and tourism experiences in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. He graduated with France's Brevet De Technicien Hotellerie and earned a postgraduate diploma in hospitality and tourism management with Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. He has served with The Legend Group Hotels & Resorts, Park Plaza International Hotels & Resorts, Ken-Air Leisure Group of companies and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Prior to this assignment, Damian was the director of sales and marketing for Sheraton Utama Hotel Brunei.
