Wang Zhifa, deputy director of the China National Tourism Administration, said that CNTA is using its RMB20 million tourism development fund as a contingency fund for renewing tourism facilities damaged in snow disaster areas in recent days.

Wang said that those areas include Hunan, Anhui, Hubei, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Gansu, Chongqing, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Henan, and Qinghai have suffered severe snow or freezing disasters, resulting in some public service facilities being damaged, such as roads to tour attractions, cables, signs, tourist service centers, and even parts of landscapes.

In order to renovate those damaged scenery areas as early as possible, the China National Tourism Administration has allocated funds of RMB20 Million to support these snow disaster areas in rebuilding and maintaining their tourism facilities so that they can ensure the safety of tourists once they reopen those attractions.
