Eleven hotel projects will be started in Sanya Haitangwan and the Sanya government will put four pieces of land onto the market after the Spring Festival holiday.

According to local media, currently there are eleven domestic or foreign enterprises planning to invest in Sanya Haitangwan. Of these, foreign companies are from countries and areas including the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. They are at the designing and bidding stage.

Yan Zhiyao, standing committee member of the CPC Sanya Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor of Sanya, said that both Hainan province and Sanya city plan to expedite the development of Haitangwan area, and to build more infrastructure facilities. The government is positioning Haitangwan at a high-end level and intends to invite some famous international companies to work together to build the area into a "national seaside park".

Land is reportedly in insufficient supply in Sanya at present. As result of this, the Sanya government will put four pieces of land with a total area of over 1,000 mu onto the market to meet the demand.
