Korean Air Expands In Chinese Market

Korean Air will greatly expand in the Chinese market and strengthen its cooperation with Chinese aviation enterprises in the 2008 Olympic Year.
Korean Air will operate more frequent flights between Seoul and Beijing and plans to add more flights to provincial capital cities as Jinan, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Changsha, and Kunming in its summer flight schedule.
With respect to its cargo business, Korean Air will establish a local cargo hub in Tianjin, by setting up a joint venture with Sinotrans Air Transportation Development to establish a cargo terminal at the Tianjin Binhai International Airport. Grand Star, the cargo airline joint venture with Sinotrans, will commence operations in early 2008.
In China, Korean Air has carried out codes share with China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines.
Korean Air, with a fleet of 126 aircraft, operates almost 400 passenger flights per day to 115 cities in 37 countries.
