Carlo Schmed has been named both the new general manager of the InterContinental Hotel Chengdu and area general manager of the Century City Complex.
Before his appointment, Schmed was general manager of the InterContinental Hotel Chongqing and area general manager for IHG in the Chongqing Municipality. Schmed has many years of experience working for international companies in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He is a Swiss national and has an MBA from Rutgers University, USA.
