Thomas Mueller has been appointed general manager at Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel, which was previously known as the Sheraton Grand Shanghai Tai Ping Yang Hotel.
Originally from Germany, Mueller is a veteran in the hospitality industry with over 30 years of experience working with the biggest hotel chains in the world: Hilton, Hyatt, and Sheraton. He started with Sheraton Hongkong as director of food and beverage and then worked in various regions of China, Malaysia and Australia and finally returned to China in March 2001. Before taking this new appointment, he was the opening general manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Pudong and subsequently the Sheraton Shanghai Pudong Hotel and Residences.
