Starting March 30, Japan Airlines has greatly increased codeshare routes with China Eastern Airlines.

The two airlines implemented codesharing on six additional routes between China and Japan to increase the number of routes from the current nine to 15. These six routes are from Shanghai to Kagoshima, Matsuyama, Niigata, and Okinawa, as well as from Qingdao to Fukuoka and Nagoya.

With this codeshare expansion, Japan Airlines' flight network between Japan and China will serve 13 cities in China on 36 routes with a total of 318 weekly flights. Of these flights, Japan Airlines operates 180 weekly flights to 10 airports in China.
