The Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area will welcome its first five-star standard hotel this July.

According to local media, the new hotel Huanglong Guibinlou Hotel located within the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area will be the first five-star foreign-oriented resort hotel at this area. Its architecture features Tibetan and Qiang ethnic cultural styles.

The hotel was originally planned to be opened in October this year; but looking for an increasing number of tourists during the 2008 Olympic Games, it is expected to be opened ahead of schedule this July. The hotel will provide guestrooms, food and beverage outlets, sauna rooms, an Internet bar, meeting, shopping, and fitness facilities. It is 50 kilometers from Jiuhuang Airport.

In 2007, the ticket revenue of the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area reached RMB300 million and the number of tourists topped 1.8 million.
