The Holiday Inn Parkview Qingdao has hired a new executive team as it prepares for an opening in the third quarter of 2008.
Roger Mair has been named general manager. With more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, Mair most recently served as a general manager in Beijing and Xiamen, where he opened the Sofitel Plaza Xiamen three years ago. He joined Accor 12 years ago at the Sofitel in Thailand with further postings in Novotel Seoul and Novotel Hefei. In the 1990's he spent three years in Beijing as part of the pre-opening team at Shangri-La's China World Hotel.
Dongwon Chung is the new director of sales and marketing. A Korean national with an education background of international hospitality and tourism management in England, Chung previously worked with Crowne Plaza Jinan, Hilton Nanjing and Grand Metropark Hotel Nanjing. He will oversee all sales and marketing activities of the hotel.
