As arranged previously, Terminal 1 of Beijing Capital International Airport was suspended starting May 20.

Until the afternoon of May 19, Terminal 1 of Beijing Capital International Airport operated as normal. China Southern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and Chongqing Airlines have transferred their flight services from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 of the airport in an orderly and speedy manner to avoid having any effect on flights.

According to local media, renovation of Terminal 1 is expected to be completed by the middle of June and the building will be reopened at that time.
