Plan For Large Tourism Project In Lingshui, Hainan

Lingshui, Hainan has started a large tourism project that has been approved by the Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
The Tufu Bay Resort Area covers an area of 518.6 hectares, and the tourism project occupies 220 hectares of construction area. The tourism project consists of seven star-grade hotels including five five-star standard hotels and two at four-star level; eight comprehensive resort areas; Tufu Bay Tourism Cultural Village; a Li and Miao Ethnic Village; a hot spring resort; two theme parks; a yacht club; a comprehensive exhibition center; a sports center; and a shopping and service area. The project is to be divided into two phases over five years with a total investment of CNY6.6 billion.
Following their assessment, Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission has listed this project as one of the major construction projects in Hainan for 2008.
