Macau International Airport Signs With TAG Farnborough Airport

Macau International Airport has signed with Britain's TAG Aviation Farnborough Airport for a sister airport relationship.

Dr. Deng Jun, chairman of the board of Macau International Airport Company Limited, and Brandon O'Reilly, CEO of TAG Aviation Farnborough Airport, attended the signing ceremony. Both two parties hope to strengthen cooperation in several aspects including training.

Deng said that Macau Jet and Jet Asia which are two companies of business aircraft based on Macau, are positively expanding their fleets by introducing into business new types of aircraft and setting up maintenance and security bases.

In 2007, the volume of business aircraft in TAG Aviation Farnborough Airport was 26,507, 24% higher than 2006; while that for Macau International Airport was 781, an increase of 30.60% compared to the same period of 2006. Macau government wished to enhance the development of Macau business aircraft through the cooperation with world-known enterprise in this field.
