From July 2008, the number of flights from Yinchuan to Nanjing will be increased to three a day with the opening of additional two services through Yinchuan Hedong Airport.

China Eastern Airlines added new Nanjing-Yinchuan-Urumqi flights on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The flights start from Nanjing at 14:40, stopping at Yinchuan at 16:50, and arrive at Urumqi at 20:10; the return flights depart from Urumqi at 20:55, stopping at Yinchuan at 23:10, and arrive at Nanjing at 01:55.

Hainan Airlines will launch the Yinchuan-Xi'an-Nanjing route with one daily flight. The flight starts from Yinchuan at 07:30, stopping at Xi'an at 08:30, and arrives at Nanjing at 11:10; the return flight departs from Nanjing at 20:20, stopping at Xi'an at 22:10, and arrives at Yinchuan at 23:50.
