The Hong Kong Tourism Commission has announced that those tourism enterprises in Hong Kong with approval from the Chinese mainland authorities are permitted to organize Hong Kong tour groups of non-Guangdong residents in Shenzhen on a trial basis.

The Tourism Commission said that this is one of pilot measures that Guangdong has implemented in the service industry as part of the central government's policies. It is expected to be extended to other cities in Guangdong province depending on the outcome of the trial.

China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited has obtained approval from the Chinese mainland to organize non-Guangdong registered citizens in Shenzhen to travel to Hong Kong on group tours. The company said that Hong Kong tours are designed as a three-day, two-night, itinerary and include a visit to Hong Kong Disneyland.
