Christine Hodder has been named general manager of the PuLi Hotel and Spa in Shanghai.

Hodder joins PuLi from the five-star Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa in Singapore, where she oversaw the property's recent opening. Her experience includes that of general manager at the Milestone Hotel & Apartments in London. She also spent two years aboard The World of ResidenSea — a 43,000 ton luxury ship that operates as a floating residential home. At the Four Seasons Singapore, as director of sales and marketing, Hodder spearheaded a successful marketing program, and prior to that, she was director of marketing and Europe, Africa, Middle East marketing at the Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza Singapore. She has spent time also with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and with Hyatt International.

Hodder is a graduate of Westminster Hotel & Catering College. She has also studied at Dale Carnegie, Hawaii International Hotel Institute, Cornell School of Administration and at UCLA in the United States.
