Dalian Expedites Star-grade Hotel Development In Resort Area

The Xigang District, Dalian says that it plans to reach a total of 16 star-grade hotels by 2010 with at least four being at and above four-star levels.
Xigang District is planning tourism facilities with four themes of seaside leisure tour, health and resorts, business meetings, and sports experience, with several major projects under construction.
From the beginning to this year, Xigang is building a large seaside leisure resort center combining recreation facilities, a yacht club, and a beach by renovating the Gold Beach Resort Center and the Silver Beach Outdoor Bathing Place. The first phase of this project covering an area of about 220,000 square meters, is scheduled to be completed by 2009.
