Macau Inbound Tourist Numbers Increase During Golden Week

According to provisional data from the Macau Public Security Police Force, in the first four days of the National Holiday, the number of inbound tourists in Macau increased compared to the same period of last year.
Data published by the Macau government indicates that in the first four days of the Golden Week, the number of inbound tourists in Macau was 390,683, an increase of 13.2% year-on-year. The number of visitors from mainland China to Macau went up by over 6% from the same period last year.
However, the revenue in Macau's hotel sector decreased by between 10% and 15% from the same period of last year, and the room rates went down by an average of about CNY100, while the average occupancy rate remained at 85%.
