China Eastern Airlines has announced some adjustments to its surcharges on international air fares.

From October 1, 2008, the company decreased the surcharge for a single flight from Hong Kong to mainland China from the original HKD231 to HKD196. Meanwhile, the surcharge for the route from Japan to China was increased from the original JPY8500 to JPY10,500.

The surcharge fees for the company's other international and regional routes remained the same.
