Tina Pu is from Olympus (China), Guangzhou Branch. She is responsible for arranging the company's business travel and other administrative affairs.

Are there any standards for your company when selecting hotel and MICE destinations?
The most important factor is a location with quick access to the company when choosing a hotel according to the company's business travel standards. There are no rigid requirements for selecting meeting venues, and we will select the venues according to the different requirements of each meeting. The most important factors of meeting are service and hardware facilities.

What are your favorite domestic hotels? Which hotels impress you most in China and why?
Our branches in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou select the hotels according to the standards of our company to offer options to our coworkers. Therefore, the employee will mainly select those hotels that have signed agreements with our company on business travel. The Garden Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou gave me very good impressions. Both the beautiful environment and good service quality are worthy to be taken as examples in the industry.

What problems do you meet when using hotel products and service? What would you like to say to hotel general managers and sales directors?
Most hotels need to enhance their service awareness, especially in the aspect of proactive services. The hotels did not pay attention to many details. Sometimes different service staff in a hotel gave different answers to the same question because they were not formally trained before taking the job.

A good quality hotel will firstly provide the guests a feeling of being at home, and is careful of details, and will offer the specific professional training for the staff, as well as enhancing the quality of software.

What do you think about our bilingual products, China Hospitality News and its website? Which department do you focus on more and why?
China Hospitality News provides lots of information on hotels and related industries, which is helpful for us to have timely information. The promotion section of your magazine is very useful, enabling us know about the latest discount policies and packaged services of the hotels.

Which information channels do you use when choosing a hotel or MICE site?
The location of the hotel, the feedback of our colleagues and the performance price ratio.

What are your travel plans in the near future?
I plan to go to Sanya around October.
