According to local media, Tianjin will add 30 new budget hotels throughout its six districts over the next two years.

These 30 hotels will include the budget hotel chain brands such as Hanting, Home Inns and GreenTree Inn, and the locations will focus on the areas near to the downtown business district.

Cheng Jun, the standing vice president of Hanting told local media that a new Hanting outlet has been opened in the Heping district, Tianjin, and both the fast development of manufacturing and service industries in Tianjin and the opening of intercity transportation lines between Beijing and Tianjin are expected to bring high market potential to the budget hotel market in the region.

It is reported that the occupancy rate of budget hotels in Tianjin stabilized at more than 80% following the Gold Week of the National Holiday.
