The Nevada Commission on Tourism signed a friendship agreement with the Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Bureau at the China International Travel Mart 2008.
This is the ninth friendship agreement that Nevada has signed in China. While not a legally binding document, it is a promise between Nevada and Shaanxi to support and cooperate with each other.
Brian K. Krolicki, chairman of the Nevada Commission on Tourism, said that NCOT has focused on tourism promotion in China since its travel office was established in Beijing in 2004, and it hopes to attract more Chinese tourists to travel to Nevada.
NCOT was the first U.S. entity with an office in China that is fully licensed to promote tourism.
