Nanjing To Build Four 5A Level Attractions

The Nanjing Municipal Tourism Bureau has unveiled a development plan for 100 Nanjing tourism enterprises.
According to the plan, Nanjing will invest at least CNY30 million in building 100 major tourism enterprises from 2009 through 2011, including 14 scenic spots at least 4A level, of which five will be to 5A levels. Currently Nanjing has only one 5A level attraction, and it will launch four additional attraction projects over the next three years.
In addition, over the next three years the number of hotels at four-star level or above in Nanjing will reach 50, including 20 five-star hotels. Nanjing also plans to introduce five international and three domestic or local hotel brands. And the city will develop 15 travel agencies with an annual sales of more than CNY100 million.
