Recently, 27 travel professionals from France have had business talks with representatives from travel agencies in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong.

Maison de la France (the French Government Tourist Office) China Office director Jean-Michel Harzic said that the current economic situation is having an adverse impact on the global tourism market in 2008; but since the exchange rates between the Euro and the Chinese Yuan Renminbi decreased by about 20%, this is greatly in favor of Chinese tourists' visiting France and shopping there. The French Government Tourist Office will continue to develop tour products with special themes, such as wine culture, MICE, golf, and shopping tours.

Harzic also showed the new logo French Government Tourist Office's new logo which will be used in promotions around the world.
