Spring Airlines, one of China's budget carriers, has launched a promotion with about one million discounted air tickets.

These special tickets are available for flights on more than 20 of Spring Airline's routes, including: Shanghai-Xiamen, Shanghai-Fuzhou, Shanghai-Wenzhou, Shanghai-Nanchang, Shanghai-Changsha, Shanghai-Haikou, Shanghai-Sanya, Shanghai-Chongqing, and Shanghai-Qingdao as well as the company's newly launched lines of Shanghai-Lanzhou, Shanghai-Urumqi, Shanghai-Zhangjiajie, and Shanghai-Guiyang.

These airfares average about 36% less than the market price and some of them are said to be even cheaper than hard sleeper rail tickets.

Spring Airlines has also taken delivery of its first Airbus A320 aircraft, which it plans to use on its new routes.
