Yunnan Opens Travel Service Hotline

Yunnan travel service hotline 12301 and Yunnan tourism video site vod.yunnantourism.com have been officially launched for easy travel in Yunnan.
Hotline 12301 is a nationwide travel service providing travel information to domestic and foreign travelers via an agent dialogue service. Its service covers consultation on hotels, scenic spots and travel agencies, reporting tourists' suggestions and reviews to relevant departments, handling complaints upon travel service quality, tourism rescue and travel tips.
The hotline began trial operation in January 2009 and has received more than 600 calls to date. Tourists in Yunnan can dial 12301 directly from 8:00 to 18:00 each day while those outside of Kunming will have to add 0871 or +86 871 to the number.
The Yunnan tourism video site vod.yunnantourism.com is the first professional tourism video-on-demand site in China. Currently there are about 200 video clips available online. In the near future, tourists will be able to upload their own video clips to the site after the video upload function is added to the site.
