The Fujian Provincial Tourism Institute and six Taiwan tourism associations have signed the Fujian And Taiwan Tourism Cooperation Quality Assurance Agreement to protect the legal rights and interests of tourists and tour operators in Fujian and Taiwan, and to improve tourism quality.

The two parties agree to set up a cooperative mechanism for tourism quality assurance. If there are major issues about travel service, relevant departments and individuals should respond to them in due course. A tourism honesty platform will also be set up for the management of tourism companies and the regulation of business behavior. Tourism companies with high credibility will be recommended by the platform while those failing to behave well will be exposed.

Fujian and Taiwan will set up a green channel to handle tourists' complaints. In addition, the two will cooperate on law and order enforcement involving the tourism market including the opening of a hotline on reporting complaints.
