According to foreign media, Guo Dongjie, the vice president of Ctrip.com vacation services, has said that the company would focus more on the vacation businesses and plans to buy travel agencies in ten tourist destinations.

Guo said Ctrip.com would continue to acquire local agencies in ten tourist destinations including Lijiang, Guilin, and Sichuan, enabling it to provide services including tour guides, car rental and scenic spot tickets.

Currently, Ctrip.com mainly offers products and services through online direct sales with a nationwide unified strategy of procurement, management, and basic marketing. Vacation services account for about 8% of Ctrip.com's overall operating revenue.
