Ibis, the international economy hotel brand of the Accor group, has unveiled a new China website, ibis.cn, and a China loyalty program, ibis Club, both of which target the requirements of local customers.

The new website is a dedicated Chinese language platform with tailor-made features that aim to suit the habits and preferences of Chinese users. The new website provides a channel for Internet users around in China to learn more about the ibis brand and keeps the public up to date about events, hotel promotions, and member activities.

The ibis Club is a loyalty program that will enable customers to access a wide range of benefits specially tailored for business and leisure travelers in China. Members of the club will enjoy a range of benefits that include discounted room rates, points rewards, guarenteed room availablity, and early check-in and late check-out times as well as special promotions and exclusive offers in over 30 hotels across China. A regular members-only newsletter has also been created to keep members informed of new developments.

According to Gilles Larrive, the senior vice president of ibis Asia, ibis researched both current and prospective customers, and found that Chinese travelers placed greater value on a user-friendly approach, an easy and convenient experience, and content-rich rewards.
