According to Kyodo News, Air China will terminate the Chongqing to Central Japan International Airport (Centrair) route from March 28, 2010, and it will launch a new route from Chengdu to Centrair on the same day.

This new route will be operated daily with a stopover in Shanghai; it is expected to attract more business travelers and tourists.

Besides these changes, starting from July 18, 2010, Air China will increase the frequency of flights between Beijing and New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, from the current twice a week to three times a week.
