Gulangyu Homtel Association has recently launched its official website glyha.com to introduce information about homtel local products and services in Gulangyu to tourists.

Now Gulangyu has 71 homtels with over 1,900 beds. With the development of tourism, homtels are more and more popular especially during holidays and festivals. For-profit intermediaries have emerged to introduce travel information of Gulangyu. Yet many of them are illegal or are engaged in false advertising that leads to unfair competition.

Glyha.com is the first nonprofit online consumer rights protection service station in Fujian province. It will offer tourists with real, objective, and fair information, and will provide a platform for tourism operators to compete fairly. There is a feedback column that allows tourists to comment on the homtels they have stayed in Gulangyu.

In the future it is planned to develop a free homtel reservation platform on the website.
