Guests at China World Hotel can now use their laptop computers or mobile PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) to check their e-mails and surf the world wide web (www) whilst in the lobby or in a restaurant, as the hotel launches high-speed wireless web access in key public areas.

China World Hotel, after undergoing an extensive US$30 million dollar renovation last year, already offers high-speed wired broadband Internet access as a complimentary service feature in all 716 guestrooms and in the Horizon Club, the hotel's executive floor lounge. The service feature is likewise available for a minimal fee in the Business Centre.

From wired broadband Internet access in the guestrooms and key public areas, China World Hotel now takes guest service innovation to the next level. Knowing that business travellers may want to stay connected whilst working over meals or enjoying casual dining, the hotel offers the innovative feature as a complimentary service in the Lobby Lounge as well as in its all-day dining outlet, Scene a Café. To use the service, guests in the Lobby Lounge or at Scene a Cafe simply switch on their laptop computers or PDAs equipped with wireless LAN (Local Area Network) of 802.11b capability and click on their preferred Internet browser. They will immediately encounter China World Hotel'S Welcome screen after which they can proceed to their favorite websites.
