Priority Club Rewards, the hotel loyalty programme for InterContinental Hotels Group, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Asia Pacific with a host of events and promotions in and around China to reward its members even further.

Our 10th anniversary is a time to thank all our Priority Club Rewards members who have made this milestone possible, said  Julia Wong, Director Loyalty Marketing, InterContinental Hotels Group, Asia Pacific. Rewarding loyalty has paid off in a big way as we have seen membership in Asia Pacific quadtrupled over the last three years.

Priority Club Rewards is a global hotel loyalty programme available in more than 3,500 hotels in nearly 100 countries. The programme combines features like Points Transfer, Points Purchase and the fastest way to Elite status, with programme pillars of no blackout dates and no point expiration.  It also offers a Personal Shopper programme, which allows members to exchange their points for just about anything, including gifts for others.

On 21 March 2004, Priority Club Rewards received its one millionth member in Asia Pacific. On holiday in Australia, Jayne Ninham signed up for her Priority Club Rewards membership upon checking into InterContinental Burswood Perth, one of the newer properties that opened last year. As part of the celebrations, Jayne Ninham will be rewarded with one million Priority Club Rewards points.

Priority Club Rewards recently topped the 2004 Freddies Awards, the consumer-generated awards list in the travel industry, with wins in 14 out of 16 award categories. The Freddie Awards has recognized the best travel loyalty programmes in the world since 1989 and is the industry's equivalent of the Academy Awards. The awards are voted on by more than 277,000 frequent travellers from more than 130 regions worldwide, allowing frequent travellers the chance to select the best hotel and airline loyalty programmes.
