Days Inn of America (China) has announced that is has appointed Harry Tan as Chairman and CEO.

Mr Tan graduated from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, in 1981. He has more than 20 years' experience in the hotel industry, working for such leading hotels as the Shangri-La, Mandarin and Holiday Inn. He spent 17 years in China, covering cities from Hong Kong to Harbin and from Lhasa to Beijing.

Before joining Days Inn, Harry was the Executive Vice President of Gloria International Hotel and State Guest Friendship Hotel Management Company. He also held the position of General Manager at the Shangri-La Hotel in Wuhan and Stanford Hillview hotel in Hong Kong.
