This week, the American Embassy in Shanghai released the latest data on visa applications for 2003.

It was revealed that the number of visa applicants in 2003 was 10,000 more than that of the year before. The embassy also announced that the visa application time for students going to study in the US will be shortened.

In addition, Thursdays will be set aside specifically to handle student applications.
