The St. Regis Shanghai has announced the appointment of Mr. Stefano Pace as Sous Chef of Danieli's, the hotel's Italian Restaurant.

Chef Pace discovered his passion for cooking at his early age, learning from his father who was a renowned pastry chef and his mother who always loved cooking home-style Italian food.  After the completion of his apprenticeship and hospitality diploma in the William Angliss Institute of TAFE, Melbourne, Stefano worked in many reputable Italian restaurants in Italy, Germany and Australia.

His most recent post was the Consultant Chef for all the restaurants in Beach Hotel Byron Bay, NSW Australia and other three renowned, upscale and fine-dining Italian Restaurants in Sydney, Australia. His responsibilities were to maintain food and hygiene standards, develop new menus, coach and train kitchen staff, demonstrate cooking methods and applications in all stations and aspects in the kitchen.

Chef Pace's cooking philosophy on modern Italian cuisine is simple yet his food emphasizes on flavors that tempt all palates.  My innovative Italian cuisine emphasizes the freshest ingredients and seasonal produce. I prefer to let the food speak for itself, said Pace.

Chef Pace is now introducing his new creations at Danieli's. In the coming weeks, Danieli's will also launch Chef Pace's new menus with his culinary creations representing his personal touch for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch.
