The Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai recently appointed Mr Andy Chan as the new Executive Assistant Manager.

A native of Singapore, Mr Chan has 21 years' experience in international hotel management. Prior to joining Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai, Mr Chan was Director of Food and Beverage in China World Hotel, Beijing. His hotel management experience also includes roles held in Grand Hyatt Singapore.

In his new position at Pudong Shangri-La, Mr Chan is responsible for the opening and renovating of all hotel facilities leading up to and throughout the opening period of the hotel extension project, which will be completed in May 2005.
