Ilja Poepper has been officially given the Resident Manager position at the Presidential Plaza Hotel Beijing. Mr. Poepper, a German citizen, grew up in Beijing and has spent many years in China both as a student and a hotelier.

He started his career with Steigenberger Hotels in Germany and worked his way up Europe and China mainly with Inter Continental Hotels Group.  Prior to this position, Poepper was Director of Sales and Marketing at the Holiday Inn Lido Beijing.  As Ilja Poepper studied in the Beijing University, he speaks fluent Chinese.
