Illegal travel agencies and ticket dealers have surfaced with the approach of the peak summer holiday travel season. In particular, a recent Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) report estimates that 76% of those agencies based in Beijing lack adequate qualifications to conduct business.

CAAC's North China Branch has decided they will check over Beijing's ticket agencies, particularly focusing on those promoting unregulated airfares and illegal commissions.

Afterwards, CAAC will profile and publish the names of the illegal outlets. Travel websites and online ticket providers will also be investigated to ensure that they adhere to all local and national consumer laws.
