A landslide caused by monsoon rains this week on the road between Yunnan's Lijiang and Lugu Lake has trapped a dozen travel buses and left thousands of travelers stranded.

Local government have provided assistance to help travelers find safe area to wait until the traffic departments can rebuild the road.

However since the road is heavily damaged, there is no indication yet when construction can be completed.
