The Ningbo Hotel Association says that under a new decision, all 150 members of Association will soon stop providing free parking services for guests.

Instead, each hotel will charge RMB5 fee for parking during daytime hours and RMB10 at night.

According to the Association, this move is to ensure car safety because by charging a fee, the hotels and restaurants will be more responsible for the cars and they will also fix some necessary security systems in the parking lot.

The new decision will go into effect on August 1.
