Hainan province has 218 star-grade hotels and ranks as the most crowded hotel market in China. With all this competition, hotels are seeing considerable price fluctuations.

The province can now offer a total of 58656 beds within these 218 hotels. 97 of these hotels are 3-star locations.

According to the China Tourism Administration, prices have been slashed by as much as 54.3% for all hotels, and the average travel group rate at a 3-star hotel is only 65rmb per night/bed.
