Xinhua reports the results of a recent ACNielsen survey that shows 7% of citizens in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou have plans for overseas tours within a year.

23% of those people surveyed plan to go to Hong Kong, 16% to Singapore, 13% to Thailand, and 8% to the United States and France.

ACNielsen's survey in these three cities also showed that 7% of citizens had overseas experiences in the past year.

The family incomes of most people having traveled abroad exceed RMB5,000 per month, and over half of the people surveyed said the best duration of overseas travel is four to seven days.
