GTREX Capital and its portfolio investment, Global Travel Exchange, a leading provider of direct access travel distribution technology, announced the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Travel Exchange in Hong Kong.
GTREX Capital Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Berlandier has made two trips to Asia in recent weeks for meetings with Global Travel Exchange's marketing partner for its branded debit cards. These trips have highlighted the importance of Asia in Global Travel Exchange's growth strategy.
In addition to the debit card initiative, Berlandier has recently met with banking partners and other synergistic businesses that are interested in assisting Global Travel Exchange with growing its business in Asian markets.
Incorporating the Global Travel Exchange subsidiary in Hong Kong is an important step for the company, as it will be registered in the region and its presence will serve as a gateway to Asia and stepping stone into mainland China, commented Berlandier. Our debit card marketing partners and other key business contacts in Hong Kong have significant experience and unique insight into the entire Asian market, and we expect great success in the region due to the groundwork we are laying at this stage in the company's development.
The further we pursue a campaign to successfully launch the Global Cheque Card in Asia, the greater number of additional business opportunities are presented to us. We anticipate that these opportunities will not only bring multiple new revenue streams to the company, but they will also create more awareness and cross-marketing opportunities for Global Travel Exchange and its Voyager Network travel distribution platform, added Berlandier.
